The origins of the Faculty of Science and Technology go back to the beginning of the actual activity of the Institute of Science and Technology during the academic season 2002/2003 in the form of a department under the name of the Institute of Exact Sciences, Technology and Automatic Information, to be transformed by virtue of Executive Decree No. 06-283 of August 16, 2006, amending and complementing the decree Executive No. 01-280 of September 18, 2001, which includes the creation of a university center in Khemis Miliana to the Institute of Science and Technology and then to the Faculty of Science and Technology pursuant to Executive Decree No. 247-12 of 14 Rajab 1433 corresponding to 04 June 2012, and this was before the establishment of its three departments, Department of Material Sciences and Department Mathematics, Computer Information and Technology Department in accordance with Ministerial Resolution No. 493 of December 17, 2012
